Daniel’s Diary.
Diary entry 020
I initially didn’t want to write this, much less post it, and that’s simply because I’m not a preacher. However, I’ve felt a nudging for a couple of weeks, and even more conviction in the past few days, and as such, it’d be selfish for me to keep this to myself.
God doesn’t hate you. And this isn’t a joke. This isn’t some “oh he’s tryna get me to be a Christian”. I genuinely am not. Whatever you decide to do after reading this is entirely up to you, if you even decide to do anything at all. I’m not one of those “shove Christianity down your throat” Christians. On the contrary, I’d much rather you see my life as one emulating what Christianity is, which is love. I’m a work in progress everyday, and I’m human.
But like I was saying, God doesn’t hate you. On the contrary, He loves you too much, it’s insane. There’s literally nothing you could do to make Him love you any less than He already does. You’re gay? Okay, and? You’re a thief? Okay, and? You’re a hypocrite? Okay, and? These are all things His son has already died for. His concern with you is your relationship with him. If your concern is the above, then I’m sorry, you have it wrong. You’re thinking like a human, and you’re seeing obstacles. Don’t. God cares about you and not about perceived shortcomings.
That’s the first part of this.
I get very heated when people talk down on Christianity, or bash Christianity. I hate it. If you’re an atheist, to me, that’s completely fine. If you’re an agnostic, to me, that’s completely fine. If you’re stuck, and you’re questioning your faith, to me, that’s completely fine. However, if you want to bash Christianity, I would heavily recommend reading the Bible for yourself. If your opinions about Christianity are based off of what you’ve seen people say, without actually taking time to do proper reconnaissance by yourself, then you’re foolish, and I say this with every bit of love, and with every bit of the book of proverbs in my heart. I personally think it is proper foolishness to make concrete mindsets based off of half-baked or half-true ideas from people who ALSO didn’t take the time to do proper reconnaissance. It makes your argument null and void.
That’s the second part of this.
I’m sorry if the church, and people of the church hurt you. A man of God is still a man, and is still susceptible to the folly of humans. I would heavily recommend building your own personal relationship with God, because even He said “when you’re tired of religion, come to me”. There’s 4 Bible verses on this, but the most notable is Matthew 11:28-29. If you don’t believe me, go and check it for yourself. Don’t just take my word for it. Also, to my Christian brethren, “judge not, lest you be judged”. Being judgmental is okay, however, it’s only okay if you’re perfect. So, before you throw a stone, are you living in a glass house?
Personally, I can never discount the role God has played in my life, because honestly, I’ve seen too much favor, and too much grace to be ungrateful. My relationship with God is like my relationship with my dad. Loosely translated, this means God is my guy. There’s no feeling better than this. The day I stopped attributing the shortcomings of man to an omniscient being, is the day I started understanding who God was.
That’s the third part of this.
Inasmuch as a lot of things are spiritual, a lot of things are also just common sense. As Christians, and as people in general, please do better to exercise common sense. That’s why God gave us a thinking faculty.
Like I said earlier, I’m not here to convert you or anything like that. The first part of this was information. The second part of this was an expression of annoyance and an application of simple logic. The third part of this was an apology. Do with this information what you will. I love you, but Jesus loves you more❤️
P.S: I’m open to answering questions, however, I’m still learning, so permit me if some of my answers seem inadequate. I’ll do my best regardless🫶🏽

Thank you for adding that comon sense part because it pisses me off so much when people, Christians and non Christians alike decide to be intentionally foolish 😭
Because you're Christian and go to church eveey Sunday or every eke market day doesn't mean you should skip using your brain
You’ve said absolutely nothing wrong ❤️
Thank youuuu😘
